panel chinati

Participation in the panel discussion Perspectives on Movement, Space and Technology, held on June 12, 2025 at the Cowley Theater in Marfa, Texas.

The panel brought together Nicolas Hünerwadel, Grisha Coleman, and Timo Paris, engaging a dialogue between architecture, choreography, visual art, and digital media.

The discussion emerged from an ongoing exchange developed during shared time in Marfa and previous collaborations, including work around Sutra House—a space conceived by Hünerwadel where architectural thinking and embodied practices intersect. These dialogues extended into questions of how physical environments shape bodily awareness and how technological tools—particularly motion capture—reframe movement as data, image, and archive.

Within this context, the panel addressed the relationship between material and immaterial space, and how movement operates between lived, sensed experience and its digital abstraction. Central questions included how the body is perceived, constructed, and transformed across physical and technological environments.

My contribution focused on the body as a sensing and thinking system, and on movement as a form of knowledge production—particularly in relation to architecture and the translation of embodied experience into visual and spatial forms.
