Performing Tales of the Unseen unfolds as a dialogue between drawing and movement. The two dancers simultaneously act as interpreters of the drawing, as its subject, and as the drawing instance itself. The performance is developed in close collaboration with Andrea Biel. As members of the same dance crew (Das Flavour Crew) and long-term collaborators, we have developed a shared movement language that extends beyond dance and also informs my visual art practice. The work investigates the reciprocal relationship between movement and image, raising the question of how drawing, film, and photography contribute to shaping and perceiving movement.
