Lasercuts originate from digitally constructed movement drawings derived from the analysis of bodily gestures. The lines are not drawn by hand but engraved into the paper surface through laser technology, leaving subtle traces of heat and material transformation.
The work explores the translation of movement into data and the re-materialization of this data as a precise graphic intervention. Depending on the composition, gestures remain isolated or condense into repetitive, almost textile-like structures through scaling and algorithmic repetition.
