Body Fragments as Jewelry

Alles im Lot | Silver Necklace

Jewellery Collection

Body fragments, shaped through movement.
Cast and refined into silver.

In the process of my Master’s thesis, I worked extensively with the fragmentation and abstraction of body forms, exploring their sculptural potential. From this research emerged— in collaboration with goldsmith Anna Zwicky—my first jewelry edition.

The forms are based on a 3D scan of my dance collaborator Valentin Kurmann (G-Ruff / Big-Step, DAS FLAVOUR CREW), which I digitally edited and sculpturally transformed. The digital body fragment is then 3D printed in wax, cast, and materialized in silver.

The pieces are produced in RJC-certified 925 sterling silver by a Swiss foundry and further refined by hand by Anna Zwicky.
Anna was trained by the renowned Basel goldsmith Beat Lehmann and has recently established her own workshop.

The collection brings together digital body capture, sculptural transformation, and traditional goldsmith craftsmanship.

The hand position is a characteristic feature in breaking. By extending the metacarpal bones, they become active support structures, reducing pressure on the wrist while slightly elevating the upper body.

This pose plays a defining role in the aesthetics of footwork. As a piece of jewelry, the hand becomes a condensed sign—both a functional support in dance and a universal symbol of creative activity. It forms a link between my dance practice and my sculptural work.

Alles im Lot – Necklace

Alles im Lot | Silver Necklace

925 sterling silver
Height: 11 mm
Price: CHF 220.–

This pendant reflects the subjective experience of gravity and its momentary suspension. In breaking, the legs are no longer the primary support structure; the play with different body axes disrupts the vertical and creates brief moments of apparent weightlessness.

At the same time, the form refers to states of balance and centering—between dynamics and stillness, between explosion and control.
